Hawaii's Go BIG Moment

Hawai‘i's Go BIG Moment is a virtual surf competition that invites wave riders across the islands to showcase their skills on any man-powered wave-riding vehicle, including surfboards, boogie boards, canoes, and even unconventional crafts like air mattresses. The contest emphasizes inclusivity and creativity, welcoming a diverse range of participants. Participants must be 21 or older and submit clips captured at Hawai‘i surf breaks. Submissions opened on November 1, 2024, with a total of $7,500 in cash prizes: $5,000 for the rider in the winning clip and $2,500 for the individual who filmed it. Monthly reviews by esteemed judges Tai VanDyke, Kaimana Henry, and Kamalei Alexander recognize outstanding performances, celebrating the vibrant surf culture of the islands. This year’s winner was Ikaika Kalama, whose incredible ride captured the essence of the Go BIG Moment.

NORMALIZE PLANT MEDICINE

For centuries, healing plants like cannabis have been misrepresented as "dangerous weeds," often due to propaganda fueled by competitive industries and systemic biases rather than science (think Reefer Madness). These campaigns sought to stigmatize plant medicine and suppress its profound benefits.

The Normalize Plant Medicine campaign seeks to go beyond decriminalization or legalization—it aims to reintegrate plant medicines into modern culture as essential tools for healing, connection, and grounding. By empowering people to grow, share, and celebrate these natural remedies, we honor the wisdom humanity has embraced for thousands of years.

Join the movement to normalize plant medicine and help us restore the knowledge and traditions that connect us to our roots.
